    OPPORTUNITY FOR ADVANCEMENT

     

    The Project Manager/ Construction Manager position requires the person to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple phases of project execution, develop plans and sequences of execution for project teams to follow, interpret and understand customer and industry specifications, provide guidance to project teams with regards to project requirements, monitor/maintain project budgets at or below estimate, develop change orders as required, read and interpret fabrication drawings, and maintain an orderly project filing system according to ACI procedures. The Project Manager/ Construction Manager is ultimately responsible for client/customer communication and the on-time/on-budget delivery of their projects.

    Responsibilities

        1. Schedule and manage job kick off, collect all required info (MTO, SPECS, Etc) from Estimator. (List Personnel)
        2. Participate in all daily JSEA meetings and JSEA development for daily tasks.
        3. Start and maintain job file on all projects to include:
          1. Completed work order/traveler.
          2. Complete and ensure material orders filed in an organized fashion per ACI-PR-012 (Acadian Purchasing Procedure)
            1. NOTE: All project materials orders are to be released by the designated Project Manager/Construction Manager (i.e., if estimating creates order from Bid, the order is to be sent to the Project Manager/Construction Manager for confirmation and release. If any orders are created/priced by the Coordinator, the order should be sent to the Project Manager/Construction Manager for approval and subsequent release/order).
          3. Specifications when supplied by customer.
          4. Any special instructions given by customer.
          5. Copy of all loadout manifests filed in an organized fashion
          6. QCM and Material Expediter to consolidate the following information within 5 days of completed project. Project Manager/Construction Manager & Project Coordinator to monitor in order to ensure all information is filed and available to QA/QC during the course of project execution
            1. Welding procedures.
            2. Paint specs with daily paint reports.
            3. Hydro-test records and reports.
          7. Material traceability on all drawings.
          8. NDE reports with weld maps.
          9. Purchase orders issued for material.
          10. Copies of MTR’s.
          11. Copies of receiving tickets for customer furnished items received.
        4. Maintain communication with customer (or customer’s representative) and provide information regarding changes in delivery or project revisions to Project Coordinator, Fabrication Superintendent, Paint Superintendent and Quality Control Manager.
        5. All drawings to be issued with following information: Piece #, Job #, Project Manager/Construction Manager’s Name, Customer Name, and NDE required in accordance with ACI-PR-005 (Dimensional Control Procedure). Information pertaining to scope breakouts (Work packs, sets, etc.…) to also be noted on drawings and drawings filed accordingly. Copies are to be given to QC Manager for distribution with quantities in accordance with ACI-PR-005.
          1. **When cut sheets are required, issue all manual and machine cut lists through QA/QC manager
        6. Recognize, capture, and execute change orders for scope changes/additions.
        7. Monitor project cost v. budget and be able to explain deviations
        8. Maintain project schedule, issue schedule updates and progress reports to customer as required.
        9. Release all material orders to procurement agent (utilize material requisition—Form ACI-OPS-FM-007)
        10. For any tracking documentation (pipe trackers, equipment tracking, customer supplied items, etc.…) that are necessary to monitor project, the Project Manager/Construction Manager will create the tracking document and format as necessary with the Project Coordinator obtaining updates from yard/field personnel and populating actual percent complete/status.
        11. Material purchase order copy shall be given to Material Expediter at the time of material order placement prior to material delivery in accordance with ACI-PR-012 (Purchasing Procedure).
        12. Maintain/monitor inventory on all stored equipment and material for customer’s specific jobs.
        13. Maintain communication and retrieve updates on progress and issues from Project Coordinator on daily basis.
        14. Execute proactive Project Management/ Construction Management approach through yard spot checks and progress monitoring with Project Coordinator and applicable Fabrication/Paint Division.
        15. Utilize hands-on management approach by checking and monitoring critical project aspects against drawing and specification requirements and then relaying critical concerns to Project Coordinator for execution.
        16. In the event there is an offshore crew involved in your project, communicate with the Field Services Division Manager for a project transfer.
        17. Transfer all completed job folders to complete / Need Data book status once 100%
        18. Provide customer free-issue list to receiving email till check in.
        19. Issue survey to client after completion of project.
        20. Coordinate creation and priority of cut sheets with lofting.
        21. Notify customer if a loadout leaves later than desired departure time.
        22. Ensure Shipping release form/pictures are obtained and filed prior to shipping.
        23. Formally report any repetitive and/or substantial personnel quality, accuracy, workmanship, or reliability issues to Shop Superintendent and Division Manager for follow up and mitigating actions to be taken through progressive discipline.
        24. Always have a positive attitude towards customers being serviced as well as ACI as a company.
        25. Bid Job Recaps/Reporting: Bid job recaps are to be maintained on a weekly basis by Project Manager/Construction Manager and Operation Administrative Assistant. Project Manager/Construction Manager will ensure that all applicable change orders are captured within the bid recaps reporting form. Descriptions/reason for cost variance to be completed at the month end closing submittal for all bid recaps by Project Manager/Construction Manager.
        26. Daily Time Ticket Approvals : Project Managers/Construction Manager are to complete time review and approval activities via Etiquette software daily by 3:00 p.m. NOTE: Access to Etiquette is available via work email/internet and also can be accessed from mobile phone equipped with internet access provided by Acadian. Review shall be completed to ensure correct personnel and equipment have been allocated to the job, that the appropriate task descriptions have been included and that any material recharges are correct. If the designated Acadian Project Manager/Construction Manager should be absent form work for vacation or other extending circumstances, it is the Project Manager’s/Construction Manager’s responsibility to coordinate time approval on their respective jobs with the applicable Acadian Division Manager.
        27. Customer Ticket Sign –offs/Closeout: All effort is to be made by the Project Manager/Construction Manager to obtain customer signatures on tickets daily. NOTE: In the event signatures are not obtained within 48 hours (2-days) of initial customer sign-off request by Project Manager/Construction Manger, the Project Manager/Construction Manager shall notify Acadian Operation Manager for assistance

    Qualifications

        1. Preferably, 5 years minimum experience, (Piping, Vessel and/or Structural) fabrication and management/coordination of same, including proficiency in adobe, excel, and word.
        2. Must have a background in reading and interpreting ISOs and Blueprints
        3. Engineering experience a plus
