Responsibilities

  • What you'll do
    Leadership in Safety: Provide unwavering leadership to ensure the safe execution of all offshore work activities. Emphasize and enforce adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
    • Participate in all daily JSEA meetings and JSEA development for daily tasks.
    • Make sure each member is aware of any Time Out or Stop Work issues
    • Review all issues when a Time Out is called and report immediately to all members of the TEAM
        • Supervision of Multi-Skilled Work Crew: Oversee a diverse and multi-skilled work crew, including welders, fitters, crane operators, and riggers.
          • Provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to ensure quality workmanship.
        • Skilled Trades Expertise: When required, step in as a skilled worker to assist your team and the project needs
        • Daily Work Task Coordination: Efficiently coordinate the daily work tasks for the construction crew.
          • Ensure that projects progress smoothly and according to schedule.
        • Safety Audits and JSA Compliance: Conduct thorough audits of Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and all other safety, health, and environmental processes.
          • Make certain that these processes are rigorously followed and continuously improved for the well-being of the team and the environment.
        • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, equipment, and personnel effectively to meet project demands and deadlines.
        • Problem Solving: Be a proactive problem solver, identifying issues and challenges in real-time and working collaboratively to find solutions that keep the project on track.
        • Communication: Foster clear and open communication among the crew, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
        • Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards in offshore construction.
        • Emergency Response: Be prepared to lead the crew in emergency response situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of all personnel.
        • Continuous Improvement: Advocate for and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and overall job performance.
        • Training and Development: Support the development and training of crew members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
        • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to safety, work progress, incidents, and other relevant matters

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • What you'll need to know
      • Extensive offshore construction experience with demonstrable experience in Welding, Fitting, and/or other offshore construction skilled trade.
      • Ability to read and draw various type of prints
      • Competent in leading others and working 5-15 man crews
      • Experienced in conducting job scopes, project walks, and estimation
      • Ability to use Microsoft Office products for incident reporting, emails, and other job specific requirements
