Responsibilities

  • What you'll do
  •  
  • The Cleaning Superintendent position requires the person to demonstrate the ability to supervise project work operations and all daily tasks. This includes working with technicians and other members of construction crews.
  • Participate in an onsite JSEA.
  • Professionally communicate with customers.
  • Fill out waste manifest for proper shipping of materials.
  • Give directions to crew members to get the job done safely and efficiently.
  • Identify drains and access points on vessel to clean.
  • Supervisor load out of equipment.
  • Fill out all proper paperwork needed for cleaning jobs.
  • Connect and disconnect diaphragm pumps.
  • Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.
  • Operate and control Pressure Washer.
  • Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
  • Identify what proper tool is needed for taken apart flanges and hatches of vessels.
  • Connect and disconnect hoses while on the job.
  • Identify if a vessel still has pressure on it and that it is properly locked and tagged out of service.
  • Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and
  • Moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials.
  • Demonstrates ability to identify if rigging is good to use to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Identify the proper PPE to be worn when cleaning vessels
  • Performs other duties and services to ensure successful projects are delivered and clients are satisfied.

Qualifications

  •  What you need to know
  •  Minimum 4 years’ experience in offshore and land tank/vessel cleaning
  • Education 
  • Preferably high school diploma or equivalent
